Situated in the city centre the Lincoln centre is just minutes from the train and bus stations and has a car park to the rear. With two assessment labs available and a number of highly experienced assessors to conduct assessments at this centre, waiting times are minimal.

The Lincoln centre also houses YorLinc's training division from where appointments for training sessions are made. Unless otherwise requested, training is delivered in student's homes, using their own equipment.

  • Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Getting to the Lincoln Assessment Centre

By Car

Ample free parking at the centre

If approaching from Newark/Nottingham

Approach Lincoln via the A46 (North). At the Hykeham roundabout take the third exit onto the A1434 Newark road. This becomes the A15 at St Catherine's until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit onto B1262 High Street. After approximately one mile (just after the TCM church), keep in the right hand lane to turn right to Portland street. YorLinc is opposite the first street on the right.

If approaching from Grimsby

Approach Lincoln via the A46 (South). At the roundabout after Nettleham village take the second exit onto the B1182 Lincoln road. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B1182/Ruskin Avenue. At the end of Ruskin Avenue turn right onto the A15/Wragby Road. Continue to follow the A15 down the hill and over the flyover. At the base of the flyover turn left onto Kesteven Street and left at the mini roundabout, bringing you under the flyover to Cross Street. Turn right onto Portland Street. YorLinc is on the right, just over the bridge.

By Train

Regular train services run between Lincoln and Grimsby, Newark, Doncaster and Nottingham. There is a taxi rank at the station for those with mobility difficulties. However, the Assessment Centre is 0.4 miles, an 8 minute walk from the rail station.

By Bus

There is a network of buses travelling to and from Lincoln. Upon arrival, the Assessment Centre is just a ten minute walk: Leave the bus station in the direction of Sincil Street. Turn left onto Sincil Street, and walk to the end of the pedestrian area and cross the road towards the railway station using the pedestrian crossing, then follow the directions above 'on Foot from the railway station'.
